What is Remote Service?
Grab some popcorn, sit back and watch your computer get fixed. Remote service saves you the trouble of bringing your computer to our shop and allows us to respond immediately. Here is how it is done:

- We will direct you to www.logmein123.com and provide you with a unique 6 digit code.
- A couple simple steps later and we are connected to your device.
- You can watch, chat or go run some errands while we work our magic.
- We finish with a detailed follow-up email in words you can understand.
Frequently asked questions
Combatting scams are one of the many reasons why we developed our approach to computer service in 3 easy steps.
Step 1: The 2WG Membership makes us your go to resource. If something pop-ups up you don’t understand, contact us and we’ll let you know if its legitimate or not. Same goes for a questions email. And by the way, Microsoft, Apple, etc. will never call you out of the blue. Additionally, we perform regular full cleanups of your computer to put the computer in the best position going forward from a security and performance standpoint.
Step 2: Protecting your computer with Malwarebytes provides real-time premium protection.
Step 3: Backup your computer with Carbonite (or/and external devices) to safe guard against ransomware attacks.
By having these three items in place, it allows you to easily know if the pop-up, email or phone call is a scam. If it is not from Malwarebytes or Carbonite, then the next step is to call 2WiredGuys to check it out. We are always happy to help!
Ask yourself this, if something were to happen to your computer, such as a hard drive failing, it was stolen, or a ransom attack to name a few examples, would there be any files that you could not recreate (pictures), or are there any files that would take you a long time to recreate (documents)? If the answer is yes, then you should have a backup system in place.
Our services are available to businesses and nonprofits on an as need basis through our non-member hourly rate. We designed our membership and approach to offer service to residential customers. We feel confident in our ability to offer a wonder service at a good value to home users. While we do assist many small businesses and nonprofits, it is with a mutual understanding that it is not our focus, we will not be held accountable for any liability involved (we do carry insurance) and that we are not available 7 days a week. While we always do our best to offer a professional and confidential service, computers and how they are used can be unpredictable and out of our control. Our business hours are M-TH 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. We are happy to discuss a relationship with your small business or nonprofit further if you have any questions.

We stopped offering onsite services in 2014 for three reasons. Almost all computer issues we can resolve remotely. Working remotely allows us to assist you immediately. It is also more environmentally friendly.

Even though we don’t provide onsite service, we can help troubleshoot, recommend and install internet related equipment including DSL, Fiber Cable, Wireless Routers, Mesh Networks, Hot Spots, etc.
